Homebound - Holy Communion

Mission Statement:

We begin by going to Mass. Thus we unite ourselves to minister to the elderly and sick of our parish, with dignity and respect and encouraging a sense of belonging and connection of the Body of Christ through the Eucharist. We are bringing the Church to the people. By sharing the Eucharist, they are one with us in our Catholic faith.

Homebound Eucharistic Ministry

This ministry brings the Eucharist, prayer, and parish connection to those unable to attend Mass due to illness or age. Volunteers visit once every six weeks for about one hour and serve as a vital spiritual link for our elderly and infirm parishioners.

Participating in the Homebound Eucharistic Ministry is a meaningful way to serve your parish by bringing the church to those who cannot physically attend Mass due to illness, disability, or age. This ministry involves volunteers who visit the homes of the elderly, sick, or disabled parishioners to bring them the Eucharist, offer prayers, provide companionship, bulletin, and share the Word of God. The goal is to ensure that homebound individuals remain connected to their faith community and receive spiritual nourishment. One hour of Training and Preparation. Serve once every six weeks for 3 hours on Sunday morning after 8 am Mass. Must Pray regularly and participate in the sacraments and be in the state of grace.   It’s an opportunity to live out your faith through service, compassion, and dedication to the spiritual well-being of others.
