Music Ministry

Our Lady of Guadalupe music ministry strives to bring the Gospel to life through song. Attentive to the Holy Spirit, the music ministry seeks to nourish the liturgical life of the parish through the full, active and conscious participation of the assembly. Since the voice of the assembly is the primary voice in any liturgy, singing unifies nd deepens our communal prayer. In singing together, we become the Body of Christ.

We provide music for Sunday mass, days of obligation, certain feast days and other times at the request of our pastor or parishioners.

The Music Ministry is needed as a part of the celebration of the mass. Those that sing pray twice. 😊

Anyone can join our ministry. We do need more members. We currently have two 9:30 and two 11:15 masses a month that do not have permanent choirs assigned. Choir participation is difficult because it generally requires a weekly commitment. People are also reluctant to sing without a musician to lead the group.
